DJI’s next trick could be a surprise robot vacuum – and no, it sadly won’t fly upstairs A leaked image suggests DJI could be planning to launch a robot vacuum It could be called the DJI Romo and combine a vacuum and mop It's early days for rumors but DJI has been entering new markets lately From e-bikes to power stations , DJI has been dipping its toes into new waters this year – and it could soon make a particularly surprising leap into robot vacuums, according to new rumors. According to a leaked image from @JasperEllens (picked up by DroneNR and Notebookcheck ) the so-called DJI Romo vacuum seemingly exists, in prototype form at least. Whether the Romo actually makes it to production remains to be seen, but given DJI's recent record of branching out from making the best drones , it certainly wouldn't be a huge leap. A robot vacuum would also, on paper, combine a lot of its existing tech. DJI currently makes robots like the RoboMaster S1 , drones with advan

The Quik Desktop for Mac app will disappear from the App Store on December 31, according to a GoPro blog post . Meanwhile, the long-promised Windows version, which never arrived, will "not be released". The app was a handy video editing option for GoPro subscribers, and its return was announced in late 2023 after GoPro discontinued a previous free version in 2017. But after finally launching the Mac version in February, GoPro says it's now "shifting gears to focus solely on mobile-focused editing solutions". That means the GoPro Qui

DJI rumors predict another 5 big launches soon– here's what's coming DJI rumors suggest it has three new product launches in the pipeline A Mavic 4 drone, Osmo Mobile 7, and Mic Mini have all seen leaks It could also reveal the rumored RC Track accessory for drones DJI has already been pretty prolific with its new launches this year, but it's showing no signs of slowing down – with the latest rumors and leaks suggesting it's preparing to launch another three new products. The accessory that's closest to becoming official soon appears to be the DJI Mic Mini , which looks like a much smaller (and cheaper) version of the existing DJI Mic 2 . Another leaked image from the ever-reliable @Quadro_News (below) shows just how small it'll likely be, acting as a tiny 10g pendant for content creators. A few days ago, the same leaker gave us a hint of the Mic Mini's potential pricing in a separate post on X (formerly Twitter) . If those rumors are correct, th

GoPro Max 2 hit by further delays – 2025 is the earliest we'll see the 360-degree action cam The GoPro Max 2 is now expected in 2025 GoPro execs announced the news in an earnings call We were hoping to see it before the end of 2024 We've been waiting a long time for the GoPro Max 2 , and it seems we're going to have to wait some more: in the company's latest quarterly earnings call, CEO Nicholas Woodman announced the 360-degree camera would be arriving in 2025. GoPro originally told us the Max 2 device was "in the works" way back in September 2023 , and then in May 2024 we got the estimate of a Q4 2024 launch window – which pointed towards an appearance in October, November, or December. Now the GoPro Max 2 launch date has slipped again , though we haven't got much information over what's happened. Last time the "development process" was blamed, so presumably it's taking much longer to get this camera finished than GoPro first

DJI unveils its cheapest-ever FPV goggles – and that makes the Neo way more affordable for immersive flying sessions DJI has unveiled the new Goggles N3, its cheapest-ever FPV (First Person View) goggles for immersive drone flight. Coming in at under half the price of the Goggles 3, the cut-price N3 version looks like an excellent pairing with the Neo , DJI's cheapest-ever 4K drone with multiple flight control options, including FPV. DJI has set the price of the Goggles N3 at $229 / £229 / AU$359, plus the goggles can be purchased in a DJI Neo Motion Fly More Combo for $449 / £449 / AU$839. For context, that Fly More Combo, which includes the Neo selfie drone, RC Motion Controller 3 (rather than the FPV Remote Controller 3), two extra batteries and charging hub plus the Goggles N3, costs less than the Goggles 3 alone. In this one move, DJI has provided an affordable route for FPV flight newbies, and a sensible alternative the BetaFPV Cetus X drone kit, further cementing the Ne

The leaked DJI Osmo 360 looks like the worst news the GoPro Max 2 has had all year

The leaked DJI Osmo 360 looks like the worst news the GoPro Max 2 has had all year New DJI Osmo 360 leaks reveal more about the incoming action cam Mock-ups based on schematics give us an idea of potential design GoPro Max 2 still hasn't launched a year on from official confirmation The great DJI vs GoPro battle looks likely to enter a new chapter soon, with regulatory filings recently revealing that a new DJI Osmo 360 is en route . And now some new mockups of the 360 camera suggest it could be a major headache for the delayed GoPro Max 2 . While the discovery of a DJI Osmo 360 filing from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave us our first hint of the camera's existence, the fan-made renders (based on schematics) show why it could be a powerful GoPro and Insta360 alternative. For example, on X (formerly Twitter) @hakasushi, who has previously made precise size comparisons of unreleased DJI drones, created the images below based on leaked schematics, sh

Insta360’s new Ace Pro 2 is a world-first dual-chip action camera – here’s how they improve performance

Insta360’s new Ace Pro 2 is a world-first dual-chip action camera – here’s how they improve performance Insta360's Ace Pro was the first 8K action camera to market, and just under a year later it has a successor, the Ace Pro 2, which is a rounded upgrade ready to take on the GoPro Hero 13 Black and DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro . You can learn how each model compares in our Hero 13 Black vs Action 5 Pro vs Ace Pro 2 piece (coming shortly) – it's a tasty battle to claim the best action camera title. Truth is, each one has its own take on the format and will appeal to different kinds of people, with Insta360 doubling down on high-resolution 8K video as its selling point, together with what it says is the first dual chip in an action camera, designed to improve performance. Impressive as the original Ace Pro sounded, certain features were in reality a little light, whereas the Ace Pro 2 adds the necessary substance. Its 8K video still feels a little gimmicky given how many caveats

DJI tipped to launch its first 360-degree camera to rival Insta360 and GoPro

DJI tipped to launch its first 360-degree camera to rival Insta360 and GoPro Not content with tussling with GoPro in the action camera space, DJI is reportedly preparing to launch its first-ever 360-degree camera to take on Insta360. @JasperEllens on X (formerly Twitter) leaked a US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing that seemingly certifies the DJI Osmo 360 (see below), which would almost certainly be a handheld 360-degree camera to rival the five star-rated Insta360 X4 . Given that GoPro has repeatedly delayed the launch of the Max 2 , the successor to the now five-year-old GoPro Max , we need another X4 rival besides the decent Kandao QooCam Ultra 3 , and DJI could surprisingly steal a march on GoPro here. Given its track record, DJI disrupting the Insta360-dominated market would be an exciting move. It's Osmo Action 5 Pro is the latest in a line of action cams that are compelling GoPro alternatives, while the Osmo Pocket 3 instantly became our favorite vlog

Want the new DJI Air 3? An impromptu import ban has made it harder to buy in the US Getting your hand son the brand-new DJI Air 3S – which we gave four-and-a-half-stars in our DJI Air 3S review – might be trickier than anticipated as the company is having issues importing its latest drone to the US. For the time being, it might only be possible to purchase the drone from DJI.com directly, not through any third-party stores. This isn’t anything to do with the ban bill which passed in the US House of Representatives earlier this year . Instead, DJI claims it’s because the Department of Homeland Security incorrectly believes the drones were produced in forced labor camps and is blocking the drones using the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (via The Verge ) In a letter it sent to distributors – which has been shared on social media – DJI refutes these accusations stating “DJI strongly affirms that no forced labor is involved at any stage of our manufacturing process. “Our company
