DJI Pocket 2 packs more features and more mics into tiny 4K vlogger cam

The DJI Pocket 2 is drone-maker DJI’s latest handheld stabilized vlogging camera, and comes with an upgraded camera, more microphones, and new modular design. It’s releasing on November 1st with a starting price of $349 for a basic selection of accessories, but there’s also a $499 kit that comes with an extra lens, tripod, external microphone, and feature-packed handle.

Although the Pocket 2 has a similar design to the original Osmo Pocket, with a small grip topped with a camera mounted on a three-axis gimbal, its internals have been upgraded across the board. For starters, it has a larger 1/1.7-inch image sensor compared to the original’s 1/2.3-inch sensor, and its lens offers a wider 20mm field of view with an aperture of f/1.8...

Why the DJI Air 2S has convinced me to sell my DJI Mavic 2 Pro I’ve been the happy owner of a DJI Mavic 2 Pro for a couple of years, and during this time I’ve been hugely impressed with its flying performance and camera. I’ve also flown and reviewed almost every consumer DJI drone released in the last few years, but it’s only now that I’m starting to think about upgrading my drone – and that's all thanks to the arrival of the DJI Air 2S . As a reviewer who frequently handles some of the best new camera gear money can buy, it takes something truly special to catch my eye – otherwise I’d be pretty skint. Alongside the images, the leaks claim that the Hero 8 will double the maximum frame rate of its predecessor, with the ability to shoot in 4K at up to 60 fps or at up to 480 fps when filming in HD. It could also support a range of new accessories, and it will allegedly be announced as early as next month.
